Communion is celebrated the first and third Sundays of the month. We use bread / gluten free wafer and grape juice so that all can receive the sacrament.

Preschool through 5th grade will continue thru the summer. Children will come to church with parents and leave after the Children's Message for Sunday school.

Job Posting For Christian School Director
The Tomah: First United Methodist Church (FUMC) is filling a vacancy for the Noah’s Ark Christian Preschool Director/Administrator (NACP-DA). The Director/Administrator will develop, direct, and coordinate a comprehensive and expanding preschool ministry at First United Methodist Church (FUMC). Provide quality direction and leadership for the Christian Education and care of children, families, church, and community in its outreach efforts. The NACP-DA will support the overall mission, vision, beliefs, and strategy of FUMC. This is a 20-hour per week position. Candidates must be able to begin working 20 hours/week by July 27 or sooner. Applicants would be considered for a dual NACP-DA role in addition to a teaching role.
The NACP-DA works collaboratively in a team-based ministry environment with the Pastor, NACP Board, Preschool parents (and other Church Staff, Committees and the Congregation), the Director leads the NACP Staff in operating the NACP, fosters NACP Staff development, and carries out the NACP’s mission. Creates a quality, warm, friendly, Christian-based child-centered program environment which meets and maintains the State Licensing Requirements of Department of Children and Families (DCF) in the State of Wisconsin. Leads and supports the staff through teamwork and mutual respect to achieve individual and classroom goals. Candidates must be able to work well with people of all ages and have strong written and verbal communication skills. Position requires understanding State of Wisconsin licensing governance, early childhood education, Christian teaching, staff management and financial planning. Candidates must always navigate competing priorities with a calm demeanor and positive attitude as well as maintain confidentiality . DCF education standards and work experience required. Knowledge of United Methodist Church is preferred.
